Wow its been a very long time. Did my time in the service, came home... Have had a very long time to think about what really matters to me, and being who I am I need to channel that somehow. So what really matters? Life. My last article was about the use of child soldiers, and that alone should be a cry to any human being with a heart. But life isn't always so black and white, sometimes there are grey areas. It seems now to me that what was necessary for human survival in almost all of human existence no longer applies in our world today, in my soul I believe it may very well lead to our downfall as a species. The following are statistics given to the UN Security Council by Secretary-General Kofi Annan... 1.)There are between 300,000 to 500,000 child soldiers in our world. 2.)Many of these children are between the ages of 7 and 17. 3.)Over 50 countries recruit child soldiers. 4.)Most child soldiers under 15 are recruited by force by non-governmental forces. 5.)Most child soldiers under 18 are recruited by force by governmental forces. Many of these child soldiers are given a mixture of drugs called "brown-brown", which is a mixture of gunpowder and cocaine. I'm about to start on a new set of photos based around my "Sight of the Apocalypse". Basically its going to a post-apocalyptic series of photos with lots of military gear and lots of fun weapons to play with. Large landscapes, lots of rocky ground(based in a quarry), and a very desert like landscape.
